Privacy Policy

Funnel Guard
Effective Date: November 2, 2026

Funnel Guard ("we," "us," or "our") provides website monitoring, conversion tracking implementation, analytics configuration, and related technical services.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect personal information when you visit our website, use our services, communicate with us, or authorize our integrations with third-party platforms, including Google services.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on your interaction with Funnel Guard, we may collect:

  • Contact information: Names, email addresses, business names, telephone numbers, and information submitted through contact forms.

  • Website usage information: IP addresses, browser information, device identifiers, pages visited, referring URLs, and interactions with our website.

  • Service information: Website URLs, monitoring configurations, analytics settings, tracking identifiers, event metadata, and information necessary to provide our services.

  • Google API information: Google Tag Manager account and container identifiers, configuration details, workspace information, tags, triggers, variables, templates, and associated technical metadata accessed through authorized Google APIs.

We may also receive information from service providers and platforms that you authorize us to access.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve our services.

  • Configure and troubleshoot conversion tracking and analytics systems.

  • Monitor website and tracking-system availability.

  • Communicate with customers and respond to inquiries.

  • Manage customer relationships and service agreements.

  • Maintain service reliability, security, and diagnostic records.

  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We limit our collection and use of personal information to purposes relevant to our services and authorized business activities.

3. Google API Services and OAuth Authorization

Funnel Guard operates an internal integration identified as Funnel Guard GTM API.

This integration uses Google OAuth 2.0 to access Google Tag Manager accounts and containers that an authorized Google account has permission to manage.

Information Accessed

Depending on the permissions granted, the integration may access:

  • Google Tag Manager account and container identifiers.

  • Container versions and workspace configurations.

  • Tags, triggers, variables, templates, clients, and transformations.

  • Configuration parameters, resource references, and technical metadata required for analysis and management.

Some configuration parameters may contain identifiers, URLs, integration settings, or other customer-related information.

How Google Information Is Used

Information obtained through Google APIs is used to:

  • Retrieve and review authorized GTM configurations.

  • Compare configurations and identify changes or errors.

  • Create or modify authorized configuration resources.

  • Validate configuration integrity and dependencies.

  • Prepare technical documentation, change reports, and rollback plans.

The integration does not require access to a user's Gmail messages, Google Drive files, or unrelated Google services to perform these functions.

Google Data Sharing

Google API information may be processed through authorized technical infrastructure and development environments, including OpenAI's Codex Cloud, when used to perform configuration management and related technical operations.

We do not sell Google user data or use it for advertising targeting.

We do not intentionally disclose Google user data to unrelated third parties. Information may be disclosed to service providers as necessary to provide the authorized functionality, to comply with legal obligations, or as otherwise permitted by applicable law.

Google API Data Retention

Google API information, configuration exports, and associated diagnostic records may be retained where necessary for authorized configuration management, troubleshooting, security, or recordkeeping.

We remove or anonymize information when it is no longer reasonably required for these purposes, subject to applicable legal obligations and operational retention requirements.

Google OAuth Credentials

OAuth authorization allows the integration to access approved Google resources within the permissions granted by the account holder.

We use restricted access and credential-management safeguards appropriate to the integration. Authorized users may revoke access through their Google Account security settings.

Revoking authorization prevents future access through that authorization but does not automatically delete information previously retained for legitimate operational or legal purposes.

Our use of information received through Google APIs is subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy and other applicable Google API requirements.

4. Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking Technologies

Our website and services may use cookies, analytics technologies, tracking pixels, and similar mechanisms to support website functionality, measure engagement, assess marketing performance, and maintain technical systems.

Depending on the configuration, these technologies may involve Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, advertising measurement platforms, or other service providers.

Where required by applicable law, we obtain consent or provide appropriate choices regarding optional tracking technologies.

Browser settings and available consent controls may allow visitors to limit certain tracking activities.

5. Information Sharing and Service Providers

We may use third-party providers for hosting, analytics, monitoring, automation, payment processing, customer communications, and technical development.

These providers may process information on our behalf or under their own applicable terms and privacy policies.

We disclose information only where reasonably necessary to operate our business, deliver requested services, comply with legal obligations, or protect legitimate business and security interests.

6. Information Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss.

These measures may include restricted account permissions, secure communications, credential controls, and access monitoring.

No internet-based system or electronic storage method can guarantee absolute security.

7. Information Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, provide contracted services, resolve disputes, maintain appropriate records, and satisfy applicable legal requirements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the information category, contractual obligations, and operational requirements.

When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it.

8. International Data Processing

Funnel Guard is operated from Canada. We may use service providers or infrastructure located in other countries, including the United States.

Information processed outside Canada may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where it is stored or processed, including lawful access requests.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to personal information we hold about you, request corrections, withdraw consent where applicable, or ask about our information-handling practices.

Certain information may need to be retained to meet legal, contractual, or legitimate operational obligations.

Requests can be submitted using the contact information below.

10. Third-Party Websites and Services

Our website may contain links to external websites and platforms. Their privacy practices are governed by their respective privacy policies.

Funnel Guard is not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third-party websites.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services, technologies, legal requirements, or information-handling practices.

When changes are made, we will update the effective date. We will provide additional notice where required by applicable law.
